Company Profile

Koon Seng Construction Pte Ltd was started in 1968 as a sole proprietorship and subsequently, was incorporated in 1979. In 1994, the company was graded a G8 contractor with a paid-up capital of S$6 million. The company is presently registered as an A2 contractor under the revised BCA contractors registration system.

To date the company has chalked up a very good track record of many outstanding projects. In the 1980s, most of the company's projects were public schools and industrial projects. The St. Joseph's Institution and Raffles Girls School are two exemplary projects completed during the period. The 1990s has seen the company diversify its project portfolio to include medical, retrofitting, conservation and commercial projects such as, the SIA Supplies Center and the Clinical Research Center. The Immigration and Registration Building project and the SIM's Open University project are recent additions to this track record.

The key contributor to these successful projects is the teamwork established between our staff with our clients/consultants. Our goals are geared towards meeting our clients' established expectations. These expectations are often exceeded through our expertise in providing better construction alternatives in terms of materials, products, specialised systems or construction methods. These alternatives offer rewards in cost savings, faster delivery time, better workmanship, usage flexibility and maintenance advantages to our clients.

Our integrated management system, covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 represents an established platform for us to continuously improve our business process and customer service as a builder. The quality standard of our projects is evident in its CONQUAS scores.

Koon Seng Construction Pte Ltd has extended its construction management expertise into the design phase of construction projects through design-and-build projects. It has completed a design-and-build project for the Public Works Department to construct a secondary school at Tampines. Managing design-and-built projects created opportunities for the company to optimise and add value to our client’s projects through value engineering assessments at the early stages of a project development.

The company’s site staff are trained to leverage the company’s integrated management system to foster project teamwork - with both the client’s consultants and our subcontractors. The work procedures in the integrated management system are continuously enhanced to ensure a synergistic teamwork in meeting and exceeding our clients’ expectations.
